Well you need to go get some prawns, 

preferably from the ocean


A Greek Style Prawn Dish

(taken from Garithes au Forno at a place in Kitsilano)



20-30 medium BC spot prawns

1/2 cup or one small onion chopped,

1/4 cup chopped pepper

2-3 or more  chopped garlic cloves

I can crushed tomatoes (small)

feta cheese, kalamata olives

olive oil, white wine

fresh dill, and mint

oregano, fennel seed salt and pepper



In a saucepan add 2- tbsp olive oil,

onions and peppers, fennel seed, sautée till onions translucent

add crushed tomatoes ( you could substitute fresh tomatoes) and wine

add in a pinch or two of oregano, a small handful of chopped dill and 4-5 chopped mint leaves. simmer for 15 min.

shell prawns and place 6-8 in each baking dish with 1-2 tbsp olive oil 

(see photo) cover with tomato sauce add 3-5 olives in each dish, top with crumbled feta, place in a 400º oven for 20 min

remove from oven

Now here is the fun part,

pour a shot glass full of ouzo over each plate and light
